A Journey SublimeEstablished in the year 1981, Darbari Lal DAV Model School has evolved as an ideal progressive quality institution blending the best of modernity with the best of tradition. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education and is a member of the National Progressive Schools Conference.
It is managed by DAV College Managing Committee. It is a co-educational school with English as a medium of instruction and has an active PTA body. Over the years the school has created a niche for itself in academics, IT, sports and co-curricular activities by establishing new benchmarks.
Illustrious Giants
Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati - saint, social reformer, educationist and a visionary founded Arya Samaj in 1875, He realised that the salvation of the country lay in educating the masses. To achieve this cherished goal, a group of socially oriented people formed the Dayanand Anglo Vedic College Trust and Management society. This was the beginning of the DAV Movement which laid the foundation of the present vast network of DAV Institutions.
Mahatma Hansraj, the Headmaster of the first DAV school opened at Lahore in 1886, was an apostle of simplicity, honesty, integrity - the legacy which we carry on.
