History of the school

Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Pitampura, is a part of the evolutionary DAV Movement - a movement with the mission to part quality education. The foundation stone of DAV, Pitampura was laid in the presence of DAV stalwarts, Late Shri Ved Vyasja, Chairman, DAVCMC, Late Shri Darbari Lal, the visionary founder Manager of the school, Mrs. S L Makhija, the founder Principal and many others on 12 May 1981. From a fledging institute in a rented building with 500 students and 15 teachers, the school has metamorphosed into a progressive institution of nearby 250 members of faculty and 5000 students. The school complex at ND Block is spread over 4 acres with a separate campus at TP Block for the tiny tots. The school enjoys a permanent affiliation status by CBSE vide affiliation number 2730116. |
